Yodel gets BS25999 certified… despite ISO22301

On Monday 3 September, 2012, Yodel (formerly known as DHL) announced they’d just gained BS25999-2 certification.  That’s several months after the publication of ISO22301, which has forced the BSI to phase out BS25999 certifications.

Making the announcement in the Parcel & Post - yes, we read all sorts of things just for you!- Yodel said: “Achieving official certification provides reassurance for the organisations that rely on us that we have the necessary systems in place to respond to challenges and maintain business continuity.

So they got the certification after the British Standard, BS25999 was effectively replaced with the lesser well-known and used ISO22301, but a couple of years before those certifications are obsolete and before one can certificate against ISO22301.

It’s led us to wonder… what’s YOUR transition plan?  Specifically:

  • Did you bother with BS25999 certification?
  • Will you bother with ISO22301 certification?
  • If you have BS25999 certification will you aim to transfer it?

We’d love to know…
