We created this diagram today. We were explaining that, in plans as in life, pictures paint a thousand words.
It was a good reminder of two simple lesson for business continuity planners:
- If a diagram or picture will explain something more simply than a paragraph or, even worse, many paragraphs of text, then use the picture instead
- If you’re not sure where to start, drawing a timeline is a really good place: it helps you put things in a logical order.
And that’s it. Possibly our shortest ever article. But hey, a picture paints a thousand words!
