Pictures Paint a Thousand Words

We created this diagram today.  We were explaining that, in plans as in life, pictures paint a thousand words.

It was a good reminder of two simple lesson for business continuity planners:

  1. If a diagram or picture will explain something more simply than a paragraph or, even worse, many paragraphs of text, then use the picture instead
  2. If you’re not sure where to start, drawing a timeline is a really good place: it helps you put things in a logical order.

And that’s it.  Possibly our shortest ever article.  But hey, a picture paints a thousand words!
